"I will renew our pledge to save water by limiting all our showers to 4 minutes and to catch the overflow in a bucket. We will reuse this water on the garden, but only if 50 people will try their best to do the same."

Congratulations to everyone who signed up to our pledge in january - we hope you enjoyed saving water and you will sign up again. We found we not only reduced our water bill dramatically but were able to keep our garden alive with the grey water we saved. Welcome to new signers. Please tell your friends about our pledge.

- what I do is place the bucket in the shower over the plughole before I turn the shower on.
This means you catch the water as the shower warms up.
As I am showering I find there is enough room for both me and the bucket - with a 4 minute shower I find the bucket catches between 5 - 10 litres of water.
With this in mind I figure that if 50 people save 5 litres of water per day for the next 3 months this will be 21, 000 litres that can be reused - over a year this would be 84,000 litres.
Suggestion - If you replace your shower-head with a new water-saving one, can you shower for an extra two minutes?
